Why Lisbon evenings work for couples

Do the sightseeing part first, eat at nine, and the bars afterwards feel like the third act rather than the whole play.
Sunset viewpoints that stay open all night
Miradouro da Senhora do Monte in Graça is the highest viewpoint in Lisbon, open 24 hours, daily (checked 16 Oct from visitlisboa.com and its listing). Arrive around 18:15, bring a layer for the wind, and stay through blue hour until the castle lights up — the kiosk keeps the drinks coming. Lower down, Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara in Bairro Alto is also open around the clock (checked 16 Oct); its upper terrace garden sells wine by the glass, and it sits at the top of the Glória funicular, which makes it the easiest stop to slot between dinner and a bar.

Book the sunset slot, then walk downhill into Bairro Alto for the night. After dark: fado, cocktails and bars
